What Is Lap An Lagoon?
Lap An Lagoon is a stunning shallow saltwater lagoon located in Loc Vinh commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province — directly across the road from Lang Co Beach. Covering approximately 16 square kilometers, the lagoon is enclosed by mountains on three sides and connected to the sea through a narrow channel. Its shallow, calm waters create mirror-like reflections that have made it one of Central Vietnam's most photographed locations.

Lap An Lagoon sits along National Highway 1A, making it easily accessible:

The lagoon is beautiful year-round, but the absolute best time is late afternoon (4:30–6:00 PM) when the setting sun turns the water gold and orange. For photography, the calmest conditions are early morning (6:00–7:30 AM) when the water is perfectly still and reflects the surrounding mountains like a mirror.
